This is my first Bromsgrove Advertiser column since my appointment as Secretary of State for Health and Social Care. I would like to thank my constituents for the many kind messages of support.
I have seen first-hand the amazing work the NHS and care sector does for my constituents, and it is an honour to take on this role at such a critical time for the country.
I recently met with the leaders of Worcestershire Acute Hospital Trust to discuss some of the challenges we face locally. It was a productive meeting and I will be working with my Worcestershire colleagues to support local residents on the issues raised.
I also held a virtual meeting with the head of North Bromsgrove High School to discuss how the school can be supported. The school has made incredible improvements recently and that is a testament to the hard work of staff and students alike.
As Parliament breaks up for recess, my work as local MP continues, with further meetings in the coming weeks. As ever, if I can be of any support to my constituents, please do email me at sajid.javid.mp@parliament.uk
