COFFEE giant, Costa Coffee may soon be bringing a drive thru to Bromsgrove – its first in the area.
Currently, there is only one Costa Coffee shop in Bromsgrove which is situated on Bromsgrove High Street, but plans have been put forward to build a drive thru on Morrisons car park, Buntsford Park Road.
The drive thru is proposed to be built on the existing car park but the design and access statement says “it will minimise disruption to the existing car park operation and minimal parking spaces will be lost” with the site layout designed to develop underused areas of the car park.
If plans are given the thumbs up, the site access will be retained with vehicles and pedestrians arriving via Sherwood Road and customers accessing the coffee shop through the car park.

The proposals also include an outdoor seating area.
The design and access statement states: “The scheme seeks to revitalise the existing WM Morrisons car park by offering more choice to customers and generating new employment opportunities through the provision of a new drive thru coffee shop.”
