POLICE are wanting to talk to three youths after a man was assaulted and robbed in Rubery.

The man, aged 39, boarded the number 63 bus at Pagoda Island in Birmingham when around 15 white males aged between 15 and 17 years old, became abusive to the bus driver.

The man intervened and the youths then shouted abuse at him.

He got off the bus and the teens chased him to Callowbrook Lane where he was assaulted and threatened with a knife. The suspects also stole his wallet.

The frightening incident took place at around 5.15pm on Sunday, August 15.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We want to speak to these youths following this deeply distressing incident and we know someone will have information.”
