Bromsgrove Sporting's six game unbeaten run came to an end on Saturday afternoon, as they lost 2-1 to Royston Town.

A Jourdain Masidi header 15 minutes in gave the home side the lead, before an Adam Murray header and a Brandon Adams penalty kick gave the visitors all three points writes Max Banner.

The opener came after some smart work up the wing by Miro Pais was capped with a cross into the area - an unmarked Masidi was on hand to head the ball home.

There were very few chances in the remainder of the half, with the best opportunity being an Adam Murray volley that was blocked in the area. Masidi almost doubled his tally on the hour mark, but his shot from close range was saved by keeper Joe Welch.

A minute later, Brandon Adams headed wide from a great position for the Crows; seven minutes later they would have their equaliser, as a ball into the area was knocked onto Murray, who headed the ball in off the post.

Royston's Matthew Bateman had a shot soon after saved by Akos Onodi, whilst Sporting skipper Leon Broadhurst had a volley superbly saved by Welch.

The winner came eight minutes from the time. Lively substitute Isaac Galliford was fouled in the area, with Adams on hand to slot home the spotkick.

Sporting's Cody Fisher was sent off for a rash challenge in the 85th minute but Bromsgrove almost earnt a point in added time. However, defender Joel Kettle could only shoot wide from a one on one position.
