ST JOHN'S Middle School in Bromsgrove is closed due to a number of teachers showing Covid symptoms.
The school has taken the decision to move to remote education on Monday, October 4 and Tuesday, October 5.
All students have been advised to take a PCR test.
Dr Kathryn Cobain, director of Public Health for Worcestershire, said: “We have been advised of a significant number of positive Covid-19 tests at St John’s Middle School in Bromsgrove.
“Public Health Worcestershire are working closely to support the school to put in any required extra measures as a result of the recent increase in cases.
“As a number of teaching staff are currently showing symptoms, the school has taken the decision to move to remote education on Monday and Tuesday (4 & 5 October).
“We appreciate parents frustrations at the school having to close.
“Current Covid-19 cases have been identified and asked to self-isolate and all students are being encouraged to book a PCR test as a precautionary measure.”
