VILLA trainee Deb Revan struck twice and set up another to end Bromsgrove Sporting’s FA Cup run.

The Grimsby loanee was central to a fine first half display as the hosts were blown away by three goals in 12 minutes.

Revan opened the scoring for the National League leaders on 17 minutes with a sweet first time effort into the roof of the net after being teed up by Will Bapaga.

Eight minutes later it was the teenager’s free-kick that picked out giant defender David Longe-King lurking unmarked on the far side of the area and his header crept over the line before Rouslers keeper Akos Onodi could claw it away.

Revan’s second came on 28 minutes - a fine solo effort that saw him skip inside his marker before finding the bottom right-hand corner from 25 yards.

Bromsgrove’s best chance came in injury time, a Will Shorrock drive that was palmed around the post by the keeper.

The second half lacked the sparkle of the first but both sides continued to create chances.

Substitute Demetri Brown drilled an effort straight at Max Crocombe in the Grimsby goal ten minutes into the half with the tireless Miro Pais putting a header wide ten minutes later.

But it was the visitors who posed the greater threat with Bapaga having a penalty appeal turned before Onodi pulled off an excellent save to deny the Grimsby dangerman.

The National League side made it four in the 83rd minute, Lenell John-Lewis scoring from the spot after substitute Edwin Essel had been fouled by the Sporting keeper, before Onodi denied him a second penalty five minutes later.

Bapaga completed the scoring with the final kick of the game, thumping a drive past the unfortunate Bromsgrove keeper.
