PLANS to build homes on a former plant nursery in a village near Bromsgrove have been submitted to planners.

The application, for outline planning permission, consists of nine three and four bed homes on land off Fairfield Road, Bournheath.

The sit is ‘washed over by Green Belt’ but was previously home to a commercial nursey – Primrose Nurseries.

Plans from Mr Banham show access to the site will remain from Fairfield Lane and include a new footway and bins storage if required.

A secondary access of Claypit Lane would be retained but would only be used for construction vehicles during the building process.

The design and access statement sates: “The redevelopment of this redundant brownfield site would provide much needed new homes for the district and helps address a current shortfall in housing need.

“The development would also provide numerous economic, social and environmental benefits, such that in conclusion the development is sustainable.”
