A NEW chief executive has been appointed at Bromsgrove District Housing Trust (bdht).

Graeme Anderson, the current director of housing and communities replaces Mark Robertson who has retired from his position after three years in the role.

Graeme has worked with Mark at the trust since it formed in 2004 and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.

Outside of the trust, he is acting as chair of the Bromsgrove Partnership and vice chair of the North Worcestershire Serious & Organised Crime Forum.

Graeme said: It has been an incredible honour to work alongside Mark all these years and to see the positive position the company is now in after successfully navigating the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Our customers, our talented people and the local community remain at the forefront of our business and I look forward to continuing to drive it forward and continuing to enhance our services and offering.”

Mary Miller, chair of the bdht board, said: “We opened the role up to the open market and after a thorough application process, Graeme was the obvious choice to succeed Mark as chief executive. He has been a valuable asset to bdht for more than 17 years and he could have had no better preparation for this new venture.

"He has proven his commitment to not only bdht, but also the local community and we are confident that bdht is in extremely capable hands with Graeme as it enters its new chapter.”
