WITH more people than ever expected to take part in this year’s Veganuary, we’ve rounded up the vegan-friendly restaurants in Bromsgrove to help you smash the challenge.
More than half a million people joined the campaign in 2021 and more than 825 new vegan products and menus were launched for Veganuary last year.
Veganuary is a non-profit organisation, which launched in 2014, encouraging people worldwide to go plant based.
So, whether you’re trying out a plant-based lifestyle for the month or thinking of a longer-term lifestyle change, here are the Bromsgrove restaurants perfect for you:
60 Degrees
52 High Street, Bromsgrove B61 8EX
This independent business serves up fresh food made to order every day.
Some of the vegan options on the menu include avocado bruschetta on sourdough toast and on the ‘build your own menu’ baked falafel can be added to a sandwich, wrap or salad.
Dairy-free milk can also be added to any hot drink.
Ascotts
148 New Road, Bromsgrove B60 2LE
This bar and kitchen specialise in authentic street food and craft beer and cocktails.
It serves up a variety of plant-based cuisine such as jackfruit and mushroom tacos, moving mountains burger and the not-dog.
Casa Med
89a High Street, Bromsgrove, B61 8AQ
Casa Med is an independent family-run tapas restaurant. The restaurant recommends five to six dishes between two people.
Some of the vegan tapas dishes include feta stuffed peppers, spicy kikos, pitta and hummus, med cocktail mix and vegetable paella.
Fuso
148a New Road, Bromsgrove B60 2LF
This restaurant specialises in authentic wood fired pizzas. There are three vegan pizzas on the menu to choose from: pizza margherita, melanzana and picante verdure.
Melt
22 High Street, Bromsgrove, B61 8HQ
Melt is a new independent restaurant serving up pizza, burgers, and sides.
Its plant-based offering includes a vegan melt, squash and blue pizza and polenta parmigiana.
Ollie’s Eatery Bar
50 High Street, Bromsgrove, B61 8EX
Ollie’s Eatery is an independent business providing coffee, alcoholic drinks, brunch lunch and dinner.
Its menu offers two burgers that can be made vegan named The Fun Guy and The Ridgey and sides including Thai sweet chilli tofu bites, Boston style baked beans and mushroom Korean BBQ loaded fries.
Not only does the restaurant serve dinner it is also a great spot for some brunch.
Options include porridge which can be made vegan and mushroom and avocado breakfast sandwich or a vegan patty breakfast sandwich.
