BROMSGROVE District Council has appointed a new deputy leader.
The former deputy leader and portfolio holder for planning and regulatory service, Adam Kent announced at the beginning of the month he was stepping down from his role in the cabinet.
He tweeted: “It’s official I have stepped down as Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member at Bromsgrove District Council as at Jan 1st.
“With a fast-growing software export business and an important and productive cabinet post at Worc’s County Council I have had to prioritise time for maximum effect.”
Cllr Kent said he remains as councillor for Hollywood and will carry on his role within Worcestershire County Council.
He said he has stepped down to “give the best to everyone” and to do that “something had to give.”
