A WOMAN was hurt in a crash on the A491 from the M5 towards Stourbridge this morning.
The two-car crash happened on the A491 Sandy Lane, near the junction with Wildmore Lane, at 10.21am today (Tuesday January 18).
An off-duty paramedic and firefighter had stopped to offer their help at the crash, near junction four of the M5.
The woman was taken to the Alexandra Hospital with injuries not believed to be serious.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a two-car RTC on the A491, near to the junction with Wildmore Lane, at 10.21am and sent one ambulance and a paramedic officer to the scene.
"An off duty paramedic and firefighter also stopped to offer assistance.
"On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman, who was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to The Alexandra Hospital for further treatment."
Motorists were advised to avoid the area this morning as the incident caused congestion.
