EMERGENCY services were called to a head-on collision between two vehicles in Bromsgrove.

A crew from Bromsgrove Fire Station along with two ambulances and police were called to the scene on Perryfields Road, at around 6pm on Saturday, January 22.

The incident involved two vehicles in a head-on collision, a spokesperson from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue said.

Four people were assessed by paramedics at the scene before a teenage boy was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital and a second patient was taken to the Alexandra Hospital with minor injuries.

The road was closed while crews made the scene safe.

Highways were also called to deal with a fuel spill on the road.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 6.04pm on Saturday to reports of an RTC on Perryfields Road, Bromsgrove. Two ambulances attended and assessed four patients on scene.

"One teenage boy was given treatment on scene for injuries not thought to be life-threatening before being conveyed to Worcestershire Royal Hospital. A second patient was conveyed to the Alexandra Hospital with minor injuries."
