A BURST water pipe has closed a road in a part of Worcester - but drivers are ignoring road closure signs.
Danes Green is closed off because of the Severn Trent Water roadworks to fix the burst pipe.
There is currently a large hole in the middle of the road near Robin Drive where contractors have been digging to fix the pipe.
However, drivers are ignoring the road closed signs and are using neighbours' drives to turn around.
A spokesman for Severn Trent Water said: “We’re really sorry to customers affected by a leaky water pipe on Danes Green.
"We’re pleased to say the pipe has now been repaired and all that’s left to do now is return the road back to normal.
"To keep our teams and other road users safe, we’ve put a partial temporary road closure in place, while we’re working in the area.

"We’re really grateful for everyone’s patience and understanding.”
The road was closed yesterday (Tuesday) with signs placed at the junctions with Dilmore Lane and on School Bank too.
