MORE than £10,000 has been raised for Blood Cancer UK after the return of a popular fun run in Bromsgrove.

Around 250 runners took part in the Bromsgrove Fun Run for Blood Cancer which was held at Bromsgrove Rugby Club on May 8.

The winner of the men’s 10k course was Tom Bristowe and the winner of the women’s 10k course was Sarah Richardson.

Nicole Harris, chairperson of Blood Cancer UK Bromsgrove and District said: “After two years of covid, we were able to resume our annual fun run which started in 1989.

“We had about 250 runners who took part, many of them have done the run for many years.
The weather was great, and many people came to spend money on the stalls and listened to the Ukelele band.”

Planning is already underway for next year’s event with a date confirmed for May 14.
