BROMSGROVE library is offering a range of services to help support Ukrainian guests settling in the area.

The library along with Pershore, Malvern, Kidderminster and The Hive is hosting Ukraine Connections sessions for Ukrainian visitors and their host families living in the area.

On a Monday afternoon between 2 pm and 4 pm, Bromsgrove library is organising a connect session.

Councillor Marcus Hart, cabinet member for communities, said: “Libraries in each district have become hubs for residents to find trusted information about how they can help, access a wide variety of information and will also be locations where Ukrainian families can meet.

“The stock of books that will be useful for our Ukrainian guests has also been increased.

“Libraries are very much community hubs, offering services for the whole community all year round, and I’m really grateful that our team have worked hard to ensure that our guests have the support they need as they continue to settle.

“Host families are encouraged to bring their Ukrainian guests to their local library, so they can see for themselves the role public libraries in the UK play.”

Other activities and resources to support Ukrainian guests include free access to public computers and free WiFi, printing and photocopying facilities, access to Job Clubs, and free access to digital newspapers and magazines (in many languages).
