A fire that engulfed several vehicles including a campervan has been tackled by firefighters in Droitwich.

Crews from the town were called to Woodmans Way on the Westlands estate at 9.30pm yesterday (Wednesday, June 15).

A spokesperson for Hereford and & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said two crews from Droitwich Fire Station attended.

“The fire, which involved a campervan, three small vehicles, three garages and fencing, was extinguished by two firefighters using breathing apparatus and two hosereel jets,” the spokesperson said, adding that there were no casualties.

“Hydraulic spreaders were used to gain access to the campervan.”

The fire service said police attended the incident alongside highways workers, who helped clear debris from the road.

Access to Westwood Road was blocked for a while and firefighters left the area shortly after midnight.
