A CHARITY champion from Bromsgrove has been commended for her efforts by winning a national award.

Veronica Kumeta, co-founder of Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer (LFBC) was one of five winners who were recognised in lingerie brand Pour Moi’s Uplifting Women Awards.

The winners were selected by a panel of judges including business mogul and former dragon on Dragons Dens, Sarah Willingham and cancer survivor and campaigner Demi Jones.

Veronica was chosen as ‘Charity Champion’ for her work through LFBC.

She said: “I’m completely shocked, extremely humbled, but obviously over the moon.

“There’s such a fabulous calibre of people here tonight and some of the stories of what these women are doing are incredible - it’s really lovely to think I’m one of those women.”

The awards were set up by Pour Moi CEO and founder Michael Thomson to celebrate and recognise the achievements of women across the UK.
