A BROMSGROVE man who stalked and harassed a woman for more than two years has been sentenced to fourteen months in prison.

Warren Greaves, 52, of Worcester Road, pleaded guilty to breaching a restraining order and was also found guilty of twice breaching an interim stalking protection order.

The orders were put in place to protect the victim but Greaves repeatedly breached the conditions of the restraining order and the two stalking protection orders, causing much distress to the victim and her family.

Sergeant Steve O’Neil of West Mercia Police, said: “We’re delighted with the result in court and the custodial sentence handed to Greaves.

"His prolonged campaign of stalking and harassment, and the flagrant breaches of the orders put in place, has caused a huge amount of distress to the victim.

“We’re grateful for the full cooperation of the victim in this case who deserves recognition for the courage it took to come forward to report the offender.

“We take offences of this nature very seriously and will always investigate thoroughly and fight to get justice for victims.”
