A WOMAN was seriously hurt when she was attacked by a dog in Bromsgrove prompting police to put out an appeal to trace the animal's owners.
The 65-year-old woman was bitten on the leg by a Collie type dog while she was walking on Stourbridge Road at around 4.30pm yesterday (Monday June 27).
Police want to trace a man and woman in their early 50s who were walking the dog, along with two others. All the animals were on leads.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Did you see a dog attack in Bromsgrove?
"At around 4.30pm on Monday (27 June) a 65-year-old woman was bitten on the leg by a dog while walking on Stourbridge Road.
"The woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
"The dog was reported to be a black and white Collie or ‘sheep dog’ breed.
"Officers would like to speak to a man and woman in their early 50s who were walking this dog along with two others, all on leads.
"Anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident and saw or captured footage that could help enquiries is asked to please get in touch."
