A HALESOWEN scout group have been granted permission to extend their hut.
Halesowen 1st Scouts had applied to Dudley Council to build a single-storey extension to the front of their hut on Elizabeth Road.
Notes to planners state that the extension would be seven metres by 3.9metres and would be used for storage.
Planners gave the bid the thumbs up with a report stating: "This application relates to an existing scout hut, the expansion of which for storage purposes is considered to be acceptable in principle. "The development would not have an adverse effect on residential amenity, nor would it impact upon the access/parking arrangements at the site.
"On balance, the design of the extension is considered to be acceptable."
The planning application, to extend the hut which is down a private drive behind homes on Elizabeth Road, was approved on June 22.
