A PAIR of Bromsgrove best friends are the stars of a new BBC documentary– ‘Filthy Business’.

Cam Simpson and Oli Dunkley founded C&C Waste Management during lockdown to get some extra cash, but their rubbish service has now grown into a six-figure business.

The boys have dipped their toes in TV stardom, with their own documentary showing the early starts and late finishes, the dirt and grime, and even some car sing-alongs – all in the name of rubbish removal.

The episode which aired on BBC Three on Monday, July 12 shows the stresses of running your own business with a big £50k job falling through for the pair.

They then need to make £7,000 in a month to keep the business afloat.

Cam, aged 26 and Oli, aged 27 have known each other since they were 16 years old.

Since the launch of their business, the boys have worked on some major jobs including their biggest at the Old Copthorne Hotel in Birmingham.

Cam said: “It was a huge clearance job that took a team of eight of us. Over four weeks we shifted around 30 tonnes of rubbish a day.”

They also have a contract with West Midland Safari Park, maintaining and cleaning up enclosures when new animals are brought in.

The pair say they don’t mind the dirt but some jobs they still remember being horrific.

Oli said: “We were doing a garden clearance which was full of rubbish including a mattress and sofa, amongst it all was a box which we think was full of human faeces.

“The smell was awful.”

Since the episode aired, Cam said their enquiries have been rolling in and they have received a good response.

Oli added: “We don’t have an end plan we just want to keep growing and growing.”

As the pair say in their documentary- ‘first Bromsgrove, then the world’.
