BLACK smoke was seen billowing over Kidderminster Road between Chaddesley Corbett and Bromsgrove.
Just before 11 am on July 15, Hereford and Worcester Fire Service was called to a pile of tyres well alight at Purshell Green.
Firefighters from Droitwich, Wyre Forest and Bromsgrove tackled the blaze.
Wyre Forest Station posted on Facebook: “15/7 @ 1051 hrs. Pile of tyres measuring 10m x 3m at Purshell Green tackled by Droitwich, Wyre Forest and Bromsgrove’s White Watches.
“Bit of old-school pumping practice for us all with the LPP (Light Portable Pump) used from local pond to supply 2 fire appliances. Re-inspection booked for 1630 hrs to be carried out by Wyre Forest White Watch.”
