AS a record-breaking heatwave continues to grip the UK, several schools in Bromsgrove have confirmed they will be closed tomorrow (July 19).
The following schools have confirmed to Worcestershire County Council that they will be shut tomorrow due to heath and safety of children and staff.
Rigby Hall School said they will be closed due to the inability to keep their rooms cool and the extreme heat when transporting children at times.
Meadow Green Primary School in Wythall will be closed and is hoped to open as normal on Wednesday, July 20.
Millfields First School will close at midday and Hollywell Primary and Nursery School in Rubery will close at 12:15 pm.
Today, Bromsgrove sweltered in 36-degree heat with a predicted high of 37 degrees tomorrow.
