A MAN has died after being hit by a train in Bromsgrove.
Emergency services were called to Bromsgrove Train Station on July 20 just before 4:15 pm to reports of a casualty on the tracks.
Sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
British Transport Police said the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
A spokesperson for the force said: “‘British Transport Police were called to Bromsgrove railway station at 4.12 pm yesterday (20 July) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended, however sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
Transport for West Midlands warned rail users that all lines running through Bromsgrove were blocked and delays or cancellations were expected for several hours.
Lines reopened just after 7 pm with delays and cancellations lasting into the evening.
