A SPORTS and country club in Bromsgrove is launching a brand-new festival this summer.

Stoke Prior Sports and Country Club is launching Priorfest which will take place on August 13 from 12 pm to 12 am.

There will be a whole host of entertainment with a family zone and bouncy castle, stalls, laser clay shooting and children’s toys and gifts to buy.

Local vendors will also join to deliver a variety of food including burgers and hot dogs, waffles and churros, cupcakes and pick ‘n’ mix sweets.

The Bromsgrove Ukulele Club will kick off the live entertainment at 12.50 followed by Becky Hawksford, The Wedding Crashers, The Glitter Sisters Duo, Mitzy, and award-winning vocalist James Wythes. Then, the 80s tribute band The Breakfast Club will close the festival.

Camping is also available on Saturday night by prior arrangement.

Organiser James Maycroft said: “Summer is synonymous with outdoor festivals, and we are very excited to be launching Priorfest in August.

“We’ve developed the event to be really family-friendly, so everyone can join in the fun.

“We hope plenty of local people will support the festival, which could become an annual event if successful.”

Advance tickets are available to buy from the bar at Stoke Prior Sports and Country Club, costing £8 for adults and £4 for children.
