NEARLY £10,000 has been raised to care for those with life-limiting illnesses after an annual fundraising week in Bromsgrove.
Every year, Primrose Hospice, hold a ‘Yellow Week’ to encourage the community to get involved with events to support the charity.
This year saw Primrose Hospice and Bromsgrove MP, Sajid Javid, run a sponsored 10k and chief executive of Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council splatted with a cream pie.
Rod Laight, chairman of Primrose Hospice said: “Every year we are so grateful to the individuals and businesses of Bromsgrove and Redditch for showing their continued support throughout Yellow Week and our other events.
"This year’s Yellow Week was made particularly fun when I got to pie splat the Chief Executive of Bromsgrove & Redditch District Council!”
Primrose Hospice’s six shops across North-East Worcestershire got involved by decorating their window displays for the week which ran from June 13 and 17 and encouraging the public to do their own fundraising.
