A BROMSGROVE resident has been targeted by rogue traders who pretended to be housing trust representatives.

On August 1, just before 2:30 pm, two men visited a resident living on Melbourne Road wearing Bromsgrove District Housing Trust lanyards.

The men told the resident that she was due to have new windows fitted and asked if they could come and measure up.

They didn't request access to the property but wanted to measure the windows to the back of the property using access to the garden.

The resident later called BDHT regarding this matter and was told they had no operatives in the area carrying out this service.

Bromsgrove North and Rural Safer Neighbourhood Team posted on Neighbourhood Matters: “The males arrived in a white cab VW crafter tipper truck and parked outside of the property.

“They are described as being dark-haired, white but lightly sun tanned and were wearing green t-shirts.

“They were around 40 to 50 years old.

“We would like to remind people to always check the ID of any persons coming to or offering to do work at their property.”

Anyone with any details that could help identify the vehicle or men concerned contact West Mercia Police via Live Chat or calling 101 quoting 00431 of 01/08/2022.
