UPDATE - A Severn Trent spokesperson said: "We are happy to confirm that our teams have resolved the issue and all supplies are back on as normal."

A BURST water main flooded a property in Bromsgrove last night.

At around 8:45 pm on August 10 three Hereford and Worcester Fire Service crews attended a ‘severe flood’ on Birmingham Road, Lydiate Ash caused by a burst water mains pipe.

The flooding had affected nearby properties with water entering one home. 

A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire Service said: "Three Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – two from Bromsgrove and one from Wyre Forest – were called at 20:44 on 10 August to flooding of internal electrics in Birmingham Road, Lydiate Ash, Bromsgrove.

"A severely burst water main had resulted in water entering a property with polybooms and a mini-ejector pump used.

"There were no casualties but police, Highways and Severn Trent all attended."

A statement on Severn Trent's website reads: "We’re really sorry to our customers living in the B61 area of Lydiate Ash, Bromsgrove who may be experiencing supply interruptions this morning.

"This is due to a burst pipe. 

"Our engineers have located the burst water pipe on Birmingham Road and are on site carrying out the relevant preparation work to begin the repair. 

"With the support of the local council, we’ve put traffic management measures in place to keep everyone safe."
