A MAN suffered serious injuries and three others were hurt following a two-vehicle crash.
The incident happened on the M5 between junction 4, Bromsgrove, and junction 3, Quinton, yesterday (August 17).
A West Midlands Ambulance spokesperson said: "Were called at 6.54pm to reports of a two vehicle RTC on the northbound carriageway of the M5 between junctions 4 and 3, Bromsgrove.
"Three ambulances and a paramedic officer attended. Crews arrived to find three occupants out of a van involved in a collision with a lorry.
"A fourth occupant was trapped inside the vehicle.
"Ambulance crews worked closely with fire colleagues to extricate the man from the van.
"He had sustained serious injuries and received treatment on scene to stabilise his condition before being conveyed by land ambulance on blue lights to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.
"The driver, a man, and a girl were assessed and found with less serious injuries. They were both conveyed to Sandwell Hospital.
"The fourth occupant, a woman, was uninjured and discharged on scene".
