HEAD coach Ross Baxter described Saturday's defeat to Solihull as a chance missed for his Bromsgrove side, as they slipped back into danger.

The Boars are hanging one place above the trap door with three games to go - two of which are against the league's top sides Malvern and Hereford.

Tries from skipper Richard Arnold and Joe Baker, a conversion from Lee Wainwright and a penalty from Oliver Burton didn't prove to be enough for the Finstall Park outfit, who now have two weeks off before their crunch home clash with leaders Malvern.

Baxter said: "Solihull was a missed opportunity but we just didn't turn up.

"We had got form going into the game, but we don't have the mental resiliance away from home.

"Our error count was just far too high on Saturday."

Baxter believes his team must win two of their final three matches to guarantee league survival.

But he admitted they face an extremely tall order.

He added: "It is all to play for but we have got the hardest run in out of the bottom sides. We have got two home games but they are against first and second respectively.

"But the bonus is that we have played very well at home since Christmas."
