BROMSGROVE is set to welcome a huge sculpture made from seized firearms and knives.

The anti-violence bee is touring Worcestershire, Shropshire, and Herefordshire between November 6 and 20.

The bee is the first UK sculpture to be made entirely from knives and firearms.

It is visiting schools, community hubs and town centres to educate and raise awareness of the dangers of carrying weapons.

Visitors can see the bee at Rubery Police Station between 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm on Tuesday, November 15 and at the Birdbox in Bromsgrove the following day between 9 am and 11 am.

A team from the British Ironwork Centre, which also created the Knife Angel, created the bee for Greater Manchester Police as part of the police force's campaign against gun violence.

A 7.5-tonne lorry arrived at the Ironworks in July 2020, delivering thousands of weapons collected from streets in Manchester.
