BROMSGROVE residents are invited to join the town’s Holocaust Memorial Service.
The Bromsgrove Memorial Service will take place in Sanders Park, by the Bandstand and Memorial plaque, at 11am on Friday, January 27.
The short service will also be attended by middle and high schools, and songs will be performed at the bandstand in recognition of the event.
Chairman of Bromsgrove District Council, Cllr Rod Laight, said: “It is important that every year we set aside time as a community to remember and think about the tragedy and atrocity of the Holocaust, so that such a thing may never be allowed to happen again.
"All residents are welcome to attend and share in this moment of reflection.”
Each year, a service is held for Holocaust Memorial Day on January 27 to remember the millions of people killed in the Holocaust, Nazi Persecution and in subsequent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia, and Darfur.
