HERE is a list of schools closed in Worcestershire today (July 5) because of strike action.

Schools across Worcestershire are either fully or partially closed today because of industrial action, including schools in Worcester, Droitwich and Kidderminster.

We will keep you updated as and when new schools are added to the list.

Full closures

 

Stanley Road Primary School, Worcester - school is closed to all pupils. 

Witton Middle School, Droitwich - school is closed to pupils.

Baxter College, Kidderminster - school closed to all students (Year 10 students visit to Kidderminster College will go ahead).

Batchley First School, Redditch - school is closed to pupils.

 

Partial closures

 

Red Hill CE Primary School, Worcester - 5LB & 6EH closed.

Hindlip CE First School, Droitwich - Blue Class will be closed.

Westlands First School, Droitwich - Reception - King Penguins Class is affected. 

The Stourport High School & VI Form College, Stourport - Open to vulnerable students and children of critical workers only.

Franche Community Primary School, Kidderminster - Parents of children in affected  classes have been notified via ParentMail

Lickey Hills Primary School, Rubery - School open to language base classes 1 and 2, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils.

Parkside Middle School, Bromsgrove - Open for Year 6 and Year 8 only.

Walkwood CE Middle School, Redditch - Open to Year 5 only.

Webheath Academy Primary School, Redditch - Open for key worker children only due to lack of staff. 

Woodfield Academy, Redditch - Only open to Year 5.

 

The walkout is by teacher members of the National Education Union (NEU), with another day of action planned for Friday.

It is the seventh-day individual schools in England have faced walkouts by NEU members this year.

And education union leaders have warned that further strike action in the autumn term is likely if the ongoing pay dispute remains unresolved.
