WASELEY Hills Crematorium is opening its doors for the public to take a tour of the site.
The crematorium is hosting a community open day between 10am and 2pm on Saturday, August 5.
People will have the chance to tour the facilities, take a walk in the landscaped memorial gardens, meet the crematorium team, and learn more about their work.
Visitors can also, if they wish, take a tour of the crematory.
Claire Montague, crematorium assistant at Waseley Hills Crematorium, said: “Our summer open day offers an opportunity for anyone to come and visit our beautiful site and ask any questions they might have, in an informal setting.
“It’s a chance for people to find out about the wide range of farewell services we offer.”
Visitors will also be given the opportunity to help create a large, heart-shaped, piece of art for the crematorium’s waiting room, through a project being led by artist Lorraine Wright.
