THE chairman of Bromsgrove District Council, Cllr Sam Ammar, has announced her first charity event to raise funds for Age UK Bromsgrove, Redditch, and Wyre Forest.

The event, a charity golf tournament and BBQ is set to take place on Friday, September 22 , at the Bromsgrove Golf Centre.

With the aim of bringing together golf enthusiasts and supporters of Age UK, the tournament promises a day of camaraderie and sport.

Cllr Sam Ammar said:"I am incredibly proud to host the golf tournament and BBQ as my first chairman’s charity event in support of Age UK.

"It’s an exciting opportunity and offers a fun day out as well as all proceeds being donated to a charity close to my heart. Age UK plays an important role in improving the lives of elderly residents in our community, so book your places at the event and help raise vital funds for a deserving charity."

The event will kick off at 12pm with a warm welcome, registration, and refreshments, followed by a 1pm tee-off.

Teams of four are encouraged to participate, although individual entries will also be accommodated.

After a day on the greens, participants and non-golfers can attend a BBQ from 7pm on the restaurant patio.

Tickets for the whole day cost £47 per person, while non-golfers can attend the evening BBQ for £20 per person.
