A CREEPY mask-wearing man has been pictured on CCTV the night a storage unit was broken into and three bikes were stolen.

The burglary happened at a self-storage unit in Droitwich, stealing BMX bikes on Thursday. Footage, shared by the owner, shows the alleged burglar in a sinister white mask carrying a ladder during the raid.

The creepy mask BMX burglary at Berry Hill Industrial Estate has been reported to West Mercia Police after it happened at 8.19pm on Thursday.

The owner of the bikes said: "Thieves entered the new Droitwich Container Storage Center through the woods backing onto the industrial estate and railway line, they then cut through two slats in two separate fences, then proceeded to cut both CCTV and mains power to the facility.

"They then cut through the corsten steel locking systems into six containers. Three of my very distinctive BMX Show bikes from my mid school collection were taken.

"From the short CCTV clip the thieves had obviously come well prepared to execute a well-thought-out theft.

"Other items taken including computer and photography equipment and a convection oven hob were taken.

The yard had been open for five days. Thieves were dressed in black joggers and black long sleeve T-shirt/Jumper with a white face covering, gloves and boots.

"Thief one looked to be quite tall and slender in build with quite a recognisable walk.

"He appears to come straight through the fence and walks across to CCtV with a ladder to cut the wires."

The theft was reported by the storage company owner and also by the owner of the bikes. The crime number given to the storage company is 19/01082023.

The bike's owner says he has not been contacted by West Mercia Police since he reported the theft at 10am on Friday morning.
