A YELLOW weather warning is in force across Worcestershire this morning (September 12) - and overnight rain is already causing issues. 

The Met Office has issued the weather warning which came into force at 1am this morning and continues until 1pm this afternoon.

The warning says: "Heavy rain perhaps causing some flooding and disruption in places.

"Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer.

"Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer.

"Flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible."

The warning covers the entire Midlands, into Wales. 

Rain has already been causing difficult driving conditions during the morning rush hour with localised flooding in places. 

The current forecast in Worcester is for heavy rain until 1pm before it changes to light rain after 2pm. 

But after some drizzle this evening no rain is forecast at all tonight.

Temperatures are also continuing to drop after the recent heatwave - down to a high of 18C during today and 11C overnight into Wednesday morning.
