TWO calves were killed during an attempt to steal them from a farm in Frankley. 

Officers are appealing for information following the incident, which happened on the night of Monday, September 11.

On West Mercia Police's Neighbour Matters website, Police, Rural & Business Officer Sarah Sceats said: "It is believed the offenders were interrupted before they could make off with the calves, however, they had killed both of the animals in preparation for removing them.

"The incident happened around 11:30 / 12:00 on the night of Monday 11th September 2023 - West Mercia Log 00145_i_12092023.

"If you saw any suspicious activity in the area of Frankley Hill Lane or Egg Hill Lane around these times, please contact West Mercia Police on 101 quoting the above incident number.

"If you own livestock and have any concerns about such activity or see anything suspicious in your area, please do not hesitate to contact police either on 101 or online using the West Mercia online reporting system - or if it is an emergency and you witness an ongoing live incident, call 999".
