A MCDONALD'S restaurant had to be evacuated after a teenage boy was stabbed.
A disorder happened at the restaurant on Parsons Hill, Kings Norton, just after 4.30pm on Monday (October 16).
West Midlands Police said the 16-year-old was found a short distance away at a snooker hall, having sustained a stab wound.
He was taken to hospital with a serious back injury where he remains today. His condition is described as not life-threatening or life-changing.
The restaurant was evacuated and no one else was injured.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "Officers are studying CCTV and speaking to witnesses to establish who was involved and what happened.
"We are appealing for anyone who saw the disorder or has any information, and hasn’t spoken to an officer, to contact us via Live Chat on our website or call 101 quoting crime reference 20/90458/23. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111".
