A THIEF has been ordered to pay back hundreds of pounds after stealing food blenders from a supermarket in Bromsgrove.

Christopher Harris, admitted stealing from the Asda Superstore in Bromsgrove at Worcester Justice Centre on Tuesday (November 7).

The 45-year-old, of Weoley Road, Birmingham, stole three Ninja food blenders from store on Market Street in the town centre in Spring this year.

The offence was carried out on April 22 this year.

The defendant was ordered to pay a total of £939 when being sentenced by magistrates for the theft.

This includes compensation of £368, a fine of £276, costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £185 and a surcharge of £110.

He must pay this back in full by December 5, 2023.

The defendant's guilty plea was taken into consideration when he was sentenced.
