An Edwardian psychiatric hospital in Bromsgrove has been converted into "stunning" luxury apartments.

Award-winning property influencer, Lucy Nash, alongside her husband Dan Nash and builder business partner Stuart Butler, have successfully restored Barnsley Hall into five new apartments with just one left on the market.

The well-known landmark building, which was originally constructed in 1904, was formerly a psychiatric hospital before being converted into NHS offices.

The team took around 18 months to complete the project, which they took on due to their knowledge of the area with Mr Butler living in Bromsgrove and Mr Nash being a former Bromsgrove School pupil.

Lucy Nash said: "After restoring our own property, we know we weren't ready to walk away from property renovation. We'd built up a great working relationship with Stuart so we decided to take the plunge and set up our own development company.

"Barnsley Hall is such a stunning building and we knew we wanted to do it justice and restore it to its former glory.

"Stuart's skill level and attention to detail are second to none and where we couldn't salvage original features, we worked to be as sympathetic as possible to them."

The new apartments, completed under the team's business BN Developments, offer a spacious contemporary living space whilst still retaining the original character features of the building.

Four of the apartments have now been reserved with the final two-bedroom property now on the market with Fisher German for a guide price of £425,000.

As well as continuing to share their renovation tips with their 63,000 followers on Instagram, BN Developments is also converting the neighbouring property Barnsley Court.

The property had previously been used as NHS offices and is due to be completed by spring 2024.

Ms Nash added: "We have received some fantastic feedback from the local community who have been really pleased that we have given the building a new lease of life.

"Some have even shared their memories of working in the building when it was offices which has been lovely.

"We're now excited to complete phase two of the project renovating Barnsley Court."
