The chip shop has a rating of 4.5 on Tripadvisor with people praising its "absolutely delicious" fish and its "fantastic" staff.
Another popular choice was Charford Chippy on Austin Road.
The eatery is rated 4.2 on Google reviews and offered free meals to residents on Christmas Day last year to help those struggling in the community.
Others said Golds Fish Chips and Vegan in Catshill was the best.
The takeaway has a five-star hygiene rating with customers praising its "fantastic vegan selection" and "high-quality" food on Google reviews.
Other chip shops that got a mention include Sunnys Fish Bar, Golden Fry Fish Bar and Lickey Hill Fish Bar.
