Staff have been left shocked and amazed after a mysterious artwork appeared at a pub in Bromsgrove.

The team at The Hop Pole Inn on Birmingham Road were taken by surprise on Saturday afternoon (March 9) when they arrived to open up the pub and found a piece of graffiti art on the wall.

Landlord Ian Wrigg, aged 52, from Bromsgrove, said: "We know nothing about it but we're completely shocked.

"We just turned up on Saturday and the art was on the building. We absolutely love it and feel so honoured that someone has taken the time to put the art on our pub.

"We've had so many customers taking photos and visitors coming to ask us about it. We've never had so many likes and loves on our Facebook page before. It's created quite a buzz."

The artwork features a crouched-down monkey with headphones and Nike trainers on.

The landlord has no idea who the person behind the work could be but many customers have speculated that it might be a stencil street artist known as Disney B32.

The work features the artist's signature style which looks similar to Bristol-born Banksy.

Mr Wrigg said: "A lot of customers have shown an interest in the art with people saying it could be the artist called Disney B32.

"We still have no idea who it is but the art is really great and long may they continue producing work around the area. It has started so many conversations and we're really grateful."

Birmingham-based artist, Disney B32, has produced artwork in other parts of Bromsgrove over the years including Sunny’s Fryer chip shop on Worcester Road in September 2022 and Droitwich town centre in January 2023.
