Worcestershire residents are set to benefit from a £2 million crime prevention project over the next two years.

The Safer Worcestershire project will see the funding invested in communities by West Mercia Police and Worcestershire County Council to reduce crime and improve lives.

The funds will support the project across numerous schemes over two years, focusing on drug and substance misuse, youth programmes, older adults' safety and healthy lifestyles.

PCC John Campion said: "I am pleased to be working in partnership with the council and police to deliver a number of projects aimed at preventing crime and anti-social behaviour."
