FOUR suspects have been arrested for car key burglaries including one in Malvern after a stinger was used to stop two cars during a getaway attempt.

Proactive CID officers based at Worcester Police Station are currently dealing with four prisoners arrested in the early hours of this morning (Thursday).

The arrests follow car key burglaries in both Ross-On-Wye and Malvern, where a VW Golf and an Audi S3 were stolen.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said the arrests were the result of 'good work' by the Malvern and Kidderminster patrol officers, along with officers from the Operational Patrol Unit.

He added: "This has led to both stolen vehicles being located, travelling at speed, along the A456, Hagley, at approximately 5am.

"The vehicles have made efforts to evade police, but stinger has been deployed, forcing both vehicles to a stop.  A total of four individuals have been arrested.

"These individuals include two 18 year old youths from the West Midlands area, a 16-year-old youth also from the West Midlands area and a 17-year-old from the Kidderminster area.

"All four remain in custody at this time as the investigation continues."
