New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Bromsgrove’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Subway at 64 Sherwood Road in Bromsgrove was given a five-star rating following an inspection on March 6.

Another Subway at 184 New Road in Rubery was also given a five-star hygiene rating on March 21.

It means that of Bromsgrove's 77 similar establishments with ratings, 57 have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.

The ratings have been published on the Food Standards Agency’s website which rates businesses from zero to five so customers can make more informed choices about where to buy and eat food.

A rating of five means hygiene standards are very good, four means hygiene standards are good, three means hygiene standards are generally satisfactory, two means some improvement is necessary, a rating of one means major improvement is necessary and a rating of zero means urgent improvement is required.
