Bromsgrove sports teams could receive grants of up to £1,000 as part of a new scheme.
The Sports Team Grants Scheme has grants ranging from £500 to £1,000 made available to community sports teams.
The scheme is designed to promote the development and support of activities, tournaments, and events and encourages the creation of new sports teams, particularly within the 16+ age group.

Gomez Vincent, programme delivery officer for the council, said: "This funding is a really good opportunity for sports clubs of all sizes across the district to develop the activities they already do or take the time to develop some new and exciting."
The council has said that special consideration will be given to applications aiming to establish teams to cater to under-represented groups such as the disabled, ethnic minorities, women, or the LGBTQ+ community.
Mr Vincent added: "The last round of funding proved successful in helping several local clubs to expand their activities, with some even taking the big, and welcome, step of introducing whole new teams to increase the opportunity for participation in sports across the district."
The application process closes on Friday, May 10, with successful grant recipients required to carry out their proposed projects by March 31, 2025.
The grants scheme is supported by £10,000 in funding from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
