A sex offender living in Chester who breached his order has been jailed for 12 months.
Derek Wiswall, 34, of no fixed abode in the city, had pleaded guilty to breaching his Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which included a condition where he must inform police if he acquired any internet-enabled devices.
But Wiswall, on March 17, had failed to tell officers he had acquired a black TCL mobile phone, and had failed to make it available for inspection.
In addition, Wiswall had breached the terms of the sex offenders register by failing to tell officers, within three days, that his address had changed.
Appearing at Chester Crown Court on Thursday, April 25, Wiswall was handed a prison sentence totalling 12 months.
He was also to be deprived of his mobile phone.
