With lighter evenings and summer approaching, residents are being urged to get active throughout May.
Bromsgrove District Council’s Sports Development Team has launched the ‘Move in May’ campaign, encouraging residents to increase their activity levels.
The council is using the campaign to inform residents on different types of exercise, suitable for various skill and capability levels.

The importance of strength training will also be emphasised to all age groups and how to integrate it into daily routines, echoing public health and NHS recommendations.
The campaign is set to start with the latest round of the popular Couch to 5K course, an NHS-backed nine-week programme delivered by England Athletics-trained coaches.
The campaign will also include a variety of disability sports and activities, from cycling to sailing sessions.
Physical activity development officer, Hayley Gwilliam, said: "We all know that moving more is good for everyone to maintain a healthy lifestyle, but I’m particularly excited that a portion of this campaign will be focused on strength training.
"Building muscle can contribute to better balance and may reduce your risk of falls which can help people maintain independence as they age."
Ms Gwilliam added: "Even the smallest increase in movement can make a huge difference, so I hope our residents get on board with our ‘Move in May’ campaign."
