A NEW true crime show exploring how killers try to outsmart detectives is coming to Bromsgrove this summer.

Serial killer and psychopathy expert Cheish Merryweather, who has appeared on the BBC, will bring her live show MURDER:STAGED to Artrix Bromsgrove on Thursday, June 4, at 7.30pm.

The two-hour talk looks at the phenomenon of staged murders and the so-called 'CSI effect' – where offenders become forensically aware and attempt to mislead investigations.

Ms Merryweather will use reconstructed real-life crime scene walk-throughs and in-depth forensic detail to show how lies can be embedded in the scene.

The evening also includes a 'live psychopath test', with audiences invited to take personality quizzes to measure the collective psychopathic traits in the room.

Each venue on the tour produces its own score, and Ms Merryweather says it 'remains to be seen' how Bromsgrove will compare.

The show is recommended for ages 16 and over and includes a 20-minute interval.

Organisers describe it as an unmissable night for true crime fans.
